New pages, practical advice and a bit of a tidy-up

New help with getting started and delegation, a clearer guide to training support, and a tidy-up across I Need Help. See what changed on 16 October 2026.

We’ve added some practical help to I Need Help today, 16 October 2026. There are new pages for the jobs you keep putting off, the work you need to hand over and the training your business needs to organise.

Been putting something off?

That unopened letter. The phone call you keep finding reasons not to make. The paperwork that’s becoming a permanent feature of the kitchen table.

Our new page, Putting Things Off? Help Getting Started, suggests ways to make the first step smaller. You don’t have to finish everything today. Finding the phone number or opening the first envelope still counts as progress.

Doing everything yourself at work?

Being the boss doesn’t mean every job has to end up on your desk. Although it can certainly feel that way.

Doing Everything Yourself? Help with Delegation explains how to choose a task to hand over, make your expectations clear and check progress without taking the whole thing back.

A clearer guide to help with training

Training brokers, training outsourcing, Managed Learning Services: which one do you need? And where does one stop and another start?

Our new Help with Training guide introduces all three, explains how they overlap and includes a comparison table and questions to ask providers.

We’ve also created and expanded two separate pages:

Training Outsourcing covers the work you can hand over, what stays with your business, choosing a provider and reviewing the arrangement. There’s a practical example of how outside help could free an HR manager from a mountain of booking administration.

Training Brokers explains how the process works, what to put in your brief and what to check before booking. It also looks at comparing the whole offer, because a cheap course isn’t much use if it’s the wrong course.

You’ll find these pages beneath Help with Training in the Help for Business menu, alongside Managed Learning Services, its FAQs and How ITIL Training Will Help You.

A little more help on the home page

We’ve added three sections to the home page: where to start when you’re unsure, how to ask for help and how to offer someone else a hand. Sometimes a simple conversation is a useful first step.

And a bit of a tidy-up

We’ve corrected spelling, grammar and punctuation across the site’s posts and pages, updated internal links following the training-page moves and added search titles and descriptions for the new pages. Same informal voice, with fewer typos.

Have a look around and tell us what you think. If there’s something you’d like help with, we’d like to hear about it.
